This is a development award that is aimed at a player who has been identified as having the skills and talent to potentially progress their football career at a higher level. The award is named after Angelo Liangis who was a player of the club in the 60s and who also played a significant part in steering the club during this period. The influence of the Liangis family still plays a critical role in the support of Canberra Olympic today and has done so for many years as a major sponsor.
