Canberra Olympic also gets the season rolling well before Round 1, hosting and taking part in pre-season gala days designed to blow out the cobwebs and build momentum. These events bring together teams across different age groups and competitions for a full day of football — short, sharp matches, plenty of rotations, and a chance for players to get match minutes back in their legs after the off-season.
These events are generally for the aKIDemy sides so that they have the opportunity to play against inter state opposition.
Below are the images from our U9 Gala Day held at Nicholls as well as the event held at Hawker for U10s to u12s hosted by Juventus.
